We celebrated our Annual Ball this year at Hardwick Hall Hotel’s Grand Marquee on Friday 19th September. Thanks to the donations of our generous supporters, we raised a staggering £76,700 for worthy causes right here in the Tees Valley!
Held in association with headline sponsors Ward Hadaway, guests enjoyed a range of entertainment, featuring casino games, scalextric, air hockey and a 360-degree camera experience. The night also featured a surprise performance from Back Chat Brass and magician Paul Lytton as well as live music from local band Storm, with a silent disco that kept the fun going.
Guests of the ball enjoyed a heartfelt video, generously donated by Yellowbox, a full-service digital marketing agency, highlighting the impact the charity has on the community.
Andy Preston, who founded the charity in 2011, also gave a meaningful speech about the importance of giving back.
Prizes on the night included a Middlesbrough FC experience kindly donated by Ward Hadaway and Gallagher, a week-long stay in a Windemere Cottage kindly donated by Ian and Jayne Gordon, a private dining experience in the Rose Garden Suite at Boodles kindly arranged by Boodles, a one-of-a-kind commissioned painting kindly donated by Lynton Parmar-Hemsley, a golfing getaway at Close House kindly donated by Robson Laidler Accountants Ltd and MGL Group and a private dining experience for ten in the Seagrave Dining Room at the award-winning ‘ The Bay Horse’ in Hurworth kindly arranged by The Bay Horse.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the individuals and businesses who donated prizes for this year’s Annual Ball. Whether for the live auction, silent auction, envelope raffle or general raffle, those contributions play a large part in the night’s success, and the charity is beyond grateful.
