Home-Start Teesside operates a number of shops in the Tees Valley area.

The shops provide furniture and home furnishings to families in need, contributing to the charity's mission of supporting families with children under five years of age. The shops are part of the Home-Start UK network, which is dedicated to promoting the welfare of families and providing practical and emotional support.

Home-start Teesside Trading Ltd have four shops in the following locations within the Tees Valley Region

  • Redcar: 16 Regent Walk, Redcar TS10 3FB.
  • Middlesbrough: 35 Marshall Avenue, Middlesbrough TS3 9AS.
  • Norton: 26 High Street, Norton, TS20 1DN.
  • Stockton: 55 Del’Strother Ave, Stockton on Tees, TS19 0SA.

Home-start are looking for volunteers to assist them in their four stores in the Tees Valley area. Initially, they are looking for volunteers for their Redcar shop, but they welcome interest for all of their locations

Role will include; till work, stocking the shop, hanging and tagging clothing, steaming clothing and material items, tagging other stock items – checking over books, bric a brac, games.

They are looking for help – either once a week or more if you have the time.  The shifts will normally be around 3-4 hours.

All training will be given alongside the company’s health & safety policies too.
