We are a registered charity dedicated to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years old across Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, and Redcar & Cleveland. We’re looking for caring volunteers to provide befriending support, along with practical and emotional advice, to families who are finding parenting challenging for a variety of reasons.
What we’re looking for:
• No formal qualifications required, just life experience and a genuine interest in supporting families.
• Volunteers are often parents or grandparents who understand the joys and challenges of family life.
• We welcome volunteers from all sections of the community.
Your commitment:
• Attend our free preparation course.
• Just 2–3 hours a week for at least a year.
• Visits take place in the family’s home, offering a friendly face and a listening ear.
• Enhanced DBS check required (we’ll arrange this and cover all costs).
