  • Not have had a holiday/break in the last 3 years

How to refer

If you know a family who meets the criteria, please feel free to discuss this opportunity with them. Once they are interested:

  1. Complete the expression of interest form
  2. Print the Caravan agreement form, sit with the family and run through all the points. If the family are in agreement with the points mentioned, then this will need signing by the family and the referrer too – we do require a wet signature and not a virtual signature on this agreement form.
  3. Send both forms directly back to rachel.p@teessidecharity.org.uk
  4. Due to popular demand, we are only accepting ONE referral from any organisation/school.

To nominate a family or learn more, contact Rachel at Rachel.p@teessidecharity.org.uk

Let’s work together to give families in need the chance to relax, recharge, and reconnect.

For families who do not drive or do not have access to a car for transport, we can offer assistance with travel in the form of bus tokens. Please note this journey involves two buses:

  • Middlesbrough Bus Station → Scarborough Town Centre
  • Scarborough Town Centre → Reighton Sands Caravan Park

FAQs

Is the site wheelchair friendly?

Yes, the site is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a hoist in the swimming pool area.

What’s provided in the caravan?

  • All beds are made up upon arrival (if you require the pull out bed for your guests, this will not be made up but the bedding will be stored in the caravan for you – as we understand that upon arrival, you would probably want to use the living room area as couches)
  • Towels and toiletries are not provided – please bring towels for the bathroom and en-suite/ for swimming etc with you.
  • Please also remember you will need towels for the kitchen area too.  We do suggest bringing washing up liquid and additional toilet rolls.  There are no supplies in the kitchen area at all, so as well as food and drink, we do ask that you bring cleaning products to keep the caravan tidy throughout your stay and before you leave.
  • Travel cot bedding is not included.
  • Irons are not provided but can be hired from the hire shop.
  • There are a number of DVDs, books and games that have been donated to the charity, we just ask that these are left in the same way as upon arriving.
  • All crockery, cooking and utensils are provided – please ensure these are cleaned after use.

Can I bring my pet?  No, pets are not allowed inside the caravan due to severe allergies of some guests.

Is smoking allowed in the caravan?   No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the caravan or on the veranda. A £25 cleaning fee will apply if this rule is broken, as stated in the booking agreement.
